Michelle Murphy

Michelle Murphy is a highly experienced HR professional with extensive expertise in program management and labor relations, currently serving as the Senior Director of HR Ops Model/PMO at Newell Brands since April 2024. Previously, Michelle held various leadership roles at General Motors from 1998 to April 2024, including Senior Program Manager for Labor Relations, where notable accomplishments included managing the acquisition of hourly-represented employees and overseeing a $20M HR transformational project. Michelle's background also encompasses international recruiting, global onboarding, and the management of outsourced HR operations across multiple regions, alongside a strong history in developing technology solutions for HR processes. Michelle earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Detroit College of Business.
