Erik Wolfrum

Director Of Teaching & Learning at NEWESD 101

Erik Wolfrum has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Erik started their career in 1996 as a Middle School Teacher at Deer Park School District and later joined Spokane Public Schools as a Middle School Science Teacher in 2001. In 2000, they briefly worked at Microsoft as a Release Manager, where they effectively managed internal communication and conducted audits. Erik then transitioned to NEWESD 101, where they held two roles: Regional Mathematics Coordinator from 2007 to 2012, and Director of Teaching & Learning from 2012 to the present. At NEWESD 101, they focused on promoting educational programs, supporting teachers, and fostering collaboration between K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and local businesses. In 2017, Erik joined Spokane Talks Media as a Host for the show "Education 101," where they showcased the achievements and opportunities within the education community in the greater Spokane area. Since 2019, they have also been working as a Host for SchoolHouse 180.

Erik Wolfrum has a strong education background in the field of education. From 2012 to 2015, they attended Washington State University, where they earned a degree in Program Administration/Principal. Prior to that, they attended Lesley University from 1999 to 2001 and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology. Additionally, Erik attended Eastern Washington University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.
