Tomi Hirvonen

Tomi Hirvonen has had diverse work experience in both the health technology and automation industries. In their most recent role as Chief Information Officer at NewIcon, they were responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's information infrastructure and operations. Tomi also oversaw software development, DevOps, ICT, maintenance, service management, and budgeting for the company's systems and products. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Software Development and ICT, where they managed software development, DevOps, and subcontracting.

Previously, Tomi worked as the Research and Development Manager for software development at NewIcon, where they handled budgeting, strategy, and recruitment. Tomi was also responsible for the ownership and development of software development processes and related tools, as well as software development technology choices and license management.

Earlier in their career, Tomi held the position of Software Development Manager, where they coordinated and managed software development projects, and improved software development processes and tools at the company level. Tomi also served as a Software Architect and Team Leader, and as a Software Specialist.

In the automation industry, Tomi worked for Honeywell Process Solutions. Tomi'sroles included Senior OSS Application Engineer, where they designed, implemented, and maintained automation system audit software, as well as remote checking and supervision systems. Tomi also had experience as a Senior Product Design Engineer, designing and implementing automation system tools in international projects. Tomi also worked as a Software Engineer, designing and maintaining automation system diagnostics software and configuration tools.

Tomi Hirvonen pursued their education at Pohjois-Savo Polytechnics from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Information technology. Recently, they have been attending Savonia University of Applied Sciences, where they are on track to receive a Master's degree in Engineering Competence Management in 2022.
