John Whitteck has extensive work experience in the field of formulation science and agricultural research. John is currently working as the Principal Formulation Scientist at NewLeaf Symbiotics, Inc., where they lead a team in the development of new microbial formulations for agricultural use. John collaborates with various teams to refine product concepts and optimize downstream processing. Prior to their current role, they worked at Monsanto Company as a Formulation Pipeline Lead, leading the development of new agrochemical formulations. John also participated in the Emerging Leaders in Science Program at Monsanto, gaining experience in agrochemical formulations research and delivery. Before joining Monsanto, John worked at Dow AgroSciences as an Associate Analytical Scientist and later as a Senior Bioanalytical Chemist. In these roles, they solved problems during product development, supported the development of new products, and delivered assays and analyses to support trait development in maize and soybean. John's career also includes research experience at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they worked as a Graduate Student in Organic Chemistry, and at RWTH Aachen University and the University of Missouri - Columbia during their undergraduate studies.

John Whitteck completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005. John later pursued a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2005 to 2010, and also had the opportunity to study abroad in Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart in 2004.
