Cameron Akers

Cameron Akers is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations support and process control within the mining industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of the Operations Support Hub at Newmont Corporation since March 2018, Cameron has held multiple high-level positions including Chief Advisor of Process Control and Global Study Manager of Process Control. Prior to this, Cameron was with Newmont Australia from September 2013 to March 2018, where roles included Business Improvement Superintendent and Safety Leadership Coach. Cameron's career at Newmont Corporation began in July 2007 as Lead Process Control Engineer, focusing on the design, procurement, software development, and commissioning of control systems for the Boddington Gold Mine.
