Edward Power

Edward Power has over two decades of experience in the mining and construction industries, currently serving as the Principal Advisor for Shutdown Management at Newmont Corporation since February 2016. In this role, Edward supports the Global Asset Management Team in developing a world-class framework for shutdown management and execution, providing mentorship to onsite teams across various mine sites. Prior to this, Edward held positions including Asset Manager at Barrick Pueblo Viejo and Maintenance Superintendent at Barrick Gold Corporation. Experience also includes roles such as General Supervisor of Planning, Reliability and Con Mon Department, and Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at ABB, where responsibilities included overseeing maintenance at a remote mine site in Northern Labrador. Earlier in Edward's career, construction leadership was demonstrated as the Construction Lead for the Terra Nova FPSO Platform at KBR, Inc. Edward's educational background includes study at Memorial University and certification from the Canadian Welding Bureau.
