Hamer Arevalo

Hamer Arevalo has over two decades of experience in metallurgy and processing, currently serving as a Process Manager at Newmont Corporation since August 2001. Previous roles at Newmont include Hydrometallurgy Superintendent, Senior Technical Advisor in Processing and Metallurgy, Chief Metallurgist at Twin Creeks Mine, and several others, contributing significantly to projects including the commissioning of the Phoenix Mill Mine. Prior to Newmont, Hamer worked as a Process Plant Foreman at Hochschild Mining from 2000 to 2001. Hamer holds an engineering degree in Metallurgy from Universidad Nacional de Trujillo and has completed several postgraduate courses, including one in Operations Management from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez and courses in Gold and Copper Metallurgy from Universidad N. de Piura and Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
