Harold Camero

Harold Camero is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in the mining sector. Currently serving as a Principal Mining Engineer at Kinross Gold Corporation since July 2024, Harold previously held the position of Corporate Consulting Mining Engineer at Newmont Corporation since June 2016, where responsibilities included providing mining engineering and mine planning services across North and South America. Prior to this, Harold managed the Mine Engineering Department at Minera Yanacocha, overseeing various planning aspects and leading significant operational projects. Early career roles included long-term planning positions at Antamina and Minera Yanacocha, focusing on resource estimation and pit optimization. Harold earned a degree in mining engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 1998.
