Ing. Afia Fima Baah Opoku

Ing. Afia Fima Baah Opoku possesses extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as the Growth and Development Manager at Newmont Corporation since April 2024, and holding the role of Regional Long Term Planning Manager since October 2005 at Newmont Mining Corporation. Afia has excelled in various engineering positions, demonstrating leadership in health, safety, and strategic planning. Key responsibilities have included the development of long-term planning work packages, overseeing reserve evaluations, and optimizing mine and process plans. Ing. Opoku holds an MSc in Mining Engineering and a BSc in Geomatic Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology, Ghana.
