Jean-Paul Kayumba, P.Eng. is an experienced mining professional currently serving as Vice President North America - Mining and Technical at Trafigura since March 2022. As the Founder of Mining Doc since October 2020, Jean-Paul has held various roles at Barrick Gold Corporation, including Technical Services Manager at Hemlo and Underground Chief Engineer from April 2019 to March 2022. Jean-Paul's early career at Barrick included positions such as Junior Mine Planner and Engineer In Training, contributing significantly to optimizing mining operations and research on coal mine safety. Academic credentials include a Mining Engineering Honours degree and a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, both obtained from the University of Pretoria.
