Sean Fong

Sean Fong, EIT, is a Junior Mining Engineer currently employed at Newmont Corporation since November 2023, focusing on short range planning. Previously, Sean worked at Newcrest Mining from February 2022 to November 2023 as a Junior Mine Planning Engineer, transitioning from a general mine engineering role to specializing in short range mine planning. Sean's experience also includes positions at Pretium Resources Inc. as a Mine Engineering Student at the Brucejack underground gold mine and at Taseko's Gibraltar Mine as a Co-op Student in Mine Engineering. Sean holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from The University of British Columbia, earned in December 2021.
