Shannon Lijek

Shannon Lijek is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership and operational excellence. Currently serving as Vice President of Strategy at Newmont Corporation since June 2023, Shannon has also held significant roles at Freeport-McMoRan, including Vice President of Operational Excellence and VP of Transformation and Organizational Development. Additionally, Shannon contributes as a Board Member for Valley Youth Theatre and has been involved with the Amir Project as a Member of the Board of Directors, promoting youth empowerment through agriculture. Shannon's previous experience includes positions at McKinsey & Company, where notable roles included Partner and Engagement Manager, as well as consulting for Community Energy. Academically, Shannon holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School, a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Arizona.
