Simon Crosato

Simon Crosato is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in the mining and exploration industry. Currently serving as Principal Geoscientist for the Americas at Newmont Corporation since November 2023, Simon previously held the position of Principal Geoscientist - Americas Exploration at Newcrest Mining from September 2017 to November 2023. Prior to that, Simon worked at Barrick Gold Corporation as Regional Chief Technical Specialist and Principal Geophysicist for Exploration in South America from July 2007 to August 2017. Early career roles include Senior Geophysicist at BHPBilliton and WMC Resources, focusing on nickel and copper exploration across Australia, South America, and other regions. Simon holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Geophysics and a Bachelor's Degree in Geology and Geophysics from Flinders University.
