Unduk Samosir

Unduk Samosir is an experienced mining engineer with a significant background in mine planning and optimization. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Long Term Mine Planning at Newmont Boddington Gold WA since July 2011, Unduk specializes in areas such as pit optimization, reserves estimation, and waste dump design. Prior to this role, Unduk held the position of Principal Mining Engineer at Minerals and Metals Group from June 2006 to June 2011, where responsibilities included leading a team in mining engineering tasks. Experience also includes a Senior Engineer role in Short Term Mine Planning at Newmont Batu Hijau and positions as Mine Planning Engineer and Drill Blast Engineer at Newmont Minahasa Raya. Unduk holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering from Universitas Sriwijaya, completed in 1996.
