Luke Johnson

Luke Johnson is an experienced goalkeeping coach currently serving as the YDP & FDP Lead Goalkeeping Coach at Newport County AFC since March 2021, where responsibilities include planning sessions and managing gamedays for U9-U16 goalkeepers. Previous roles include Assistant U-18 Goalkeeping Coach at Newport County AFC, Head Goalkeeping Coach at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and various positions at Cardiff City Football Club. Additionally, Luke has experience in event production and administration within Care for the Family. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Coaching and Science from the University of Worcester, Luke has developed young goalkeepers across multiple clubs and has led international summer camps for teenagers.
