Val Jamora is an experienced conductor and music educator with a career spanning several decades. Since 2003, Val has served as the conductor for the Four Seasons Youth Orchestra. Concurrently, Val has been a music educator at Newport Mesa Unified School District since 1998, primarily instructing instrumental music groups for grades 7-12, including orchestra, band, jazz, and beginning winds and percussion. Val’s involvement with Arrowbear Music Camp began in 1986, transitioning from camper to counselor and kitchen staff, where Val currently oversees conducting. Prior to this, Val was a music educator at Colton Joint Unified School District from 1994 to 1998, teaching beginning and intermediate/advanced band and music history. Val holds a Master of Music degree in Instrumental Conducting from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Music Education from California State University-San Bernardino, along with an Associate of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from Imperial Valley College.
