Alex Shum

Alex joined NewQuest in 2011 and is responsible for sourcing, executing and managing investments across the Greater China region. Alex has over 10 years of experience in finance, primarily focusing on investments, capital raising, M&A and corporate advisory.

Prior to joining NewQuest, he was an Associate at Credit Suisse’s Investment Bank based in Hong Kong, where he worked in corporate finance and equity capital markets. Alex received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Duke University in Durham, NC.Alex is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
