About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, energetic, proven Sales Director to help lead our Direct Sales Team. The ideal candidate has significant digital advertising sales and leadership experience, with a proven track record of winning new business and building relationships. You will be responsible for helping to build deep partnerships with brands and agencies big and small across the ads ecosystem - whether they’re looking for top of funnel, high impact integrations or bottom of the funnel performance. You will be an integral part of our growing sales teams on the East and West Coasts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue by establishing relationships across holding company and independent agencies, and Fortune 500 Brands. Proactively identify opportunities for creating new and impactful relationships
  • Develop robust pipeline, category, and territory strategies
  • Deliver marketplace feedback and client challenges internally to help improve sales products and develop new solutions leveraging NewsBreaks unique local platform and ad products
  • Serve as an ambassador for the NewsBreak brand and mission in market, clearly explaining our unique value proposition and platform
  • Identify, monitor, and accurately forecast sales activity
  • Use knowledge of the relevant market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators

Requirements

  • 10+ years digital advertising sales experience meeting or exceeding quota across large, mid-market, and performance agencies and their clients
  • Strong understanding of performance advertising and products; previous experience selling news or related content a plus
  • Consultative selling skills with the ability to anticipate, craft responses to, and overcome client objections and concerns
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written with the ability to collaborate with C-level stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Flexible, self-starting attitude; able to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels in the organization

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
