James joined the news.com.au team as a sports reporter while still studying, a job that suited him perfectly as he always preferred watching sport to sitting in lecture theatres. He has a passion for cricket, tennis, rugby league, AFL and football, and is always keen to learn more about the ever-changing world of journalism. James stands out as the only member of the sports desk incapable of growing a beard (even if he'll never admit to it).
