David Kline

David Kline is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of News Corp.

Mr. Kline joined News Corp in 2020 from Viacom where he served as Executive Vice President of Technology and Chief Technology and Information Officer since 2010. In this role, he led the strategy and execution of all technology functions for Viacom across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Prior to Viacom, Mr. Kline served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Discovery Communications where he was responsible for worldwide technology, facilities and real estate management.

Before Discovery Communications Mr. Kline served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for AMC Networks a subsidiary of Cablevisions Systems Corporation where he was responsible for the company’s technology functions, facilities and real estate management. In addition, Mr. Kline has held leadership positions at Integrated Systems Group and Northwell Health Systems.

Mr. Kline earned a master’s degree after earning his bachelor’s degree from Long Island University. He currently serves in an advisory capacity to Long Island University, Hofstra University and the tech talent pipeline of NYC.
