John Bandringa

John Bandringa is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in design, innovation, and strategic leadership. Currently serving as Teaching Faculty at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design since September 2018, John teaches Interaction Design, Materials, and Studio classes, emphasizing real-world applications and craftsmanship. As the Founder and President of Movaic, Inc. since November 2007, John focuses on developing and distributing innovative products. John’s previous roles include Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at FreshForm, Director of Enterprise Strategy & Innovation at the Port of San Diego, and Senior Director of Corporate Design at Honeywell, where John led a large international User Experience team. Additional experience includes positions at GIRVIN Strategic Branding and Design, Teague Product Development, and Audi AG, where John contributed to award-winning designs and strategic initiatives. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Transportation & Product Design from ArtCenter College of Design and has furthered education through Harvard Business School Online.
