Antonio Tapia

Antonio is a Senior Associate Partner on the Innovative Public Schools team. In his role, he works with and supports leaders that are reimagining education in various parts of the country.

Prior to joining NewSchools, Antonio held various roles as a teacher and school leader. He began his school leadership journey as a New Leaders for New Schools resident and started his teaching career as a Teach for America corps member, where he taught in the same district in the South Bronx that he attended as a student.

Antonio holds a B.S. from Cornell University. He lives in Oakland with his two teenage children and enjoys cycling, politics, and introducing his teens to new music.
