Jason Atwood

Jason is the Director of Research and Learning at NewSchools Venture Fund. In this role, he stewards the impact measurement efforts and partners with researchers to spark discoveries about the science of learning, the implementation of educational innovation, and the advancement of the expanded definition of student success framework.

Prior to joining NewSchools, Jason directed org-wide research, evaluation, and learning initiatives at Education Pioneers and Teach For America, including the implementation and impact studies of a $50M U.S. Department of Education Investing in Innovation Scale-Up grant. He has an M.A. in Education from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Philosophy and Government from Georgetown University.
