Nathan Crock is the Director of NewSci Labs at NewSci. Nathan has previous experience as a Visiting Scholar at Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, where they developed computational tools to analyze intracellular calcium dynamics in cortical astrocytes. Nathan was also Co-Owner of Renegade Boxing LLC from August 2012 to January 2015. Nathan has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies from June 2011 to January 2014, where they wrote Fortran algorithms for hurricane simulations and developed a toolkit for easily visualizing model output data. Nathan Crock has also been Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Scientific Computing at Florida State University since August 2008.
Nathan Crock has a Ph.D. in Scientific Computing from Florida State University, an M.S. in Scientific Computing from Florida State University, and a B.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Florida State University. Nathan also has an Associate in Arts in Mathematics from St. Petersburg College. Nathan is certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver by IANTD, a Cavern Diver by IANTD, a Dive Master by TDI, and a Nitrox Diver by IANTD. Nathan is also certified as an Open Water Diver by Scuba Educators International.
