Joshua Shelto is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in web application development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Newsela since May 2019, Joshua has a background that includes a position as a Web Developer at Enchanted Diamonds from February 2014 to October 2018, where significant contributions included developing an optimized checkout flow and creating a Google Chrome extension to streamline product shipments. Additionally, Joshua played an integral role in enhancing email delivery systems and improving SEO compliance. Earlier experience includes a position as a Data Scout/Annotator at The Linguistic Data Consortium, where Joshua assisted in building multi-modal data corpuses.
