David Kay has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. David began their career at The University of Auckland as a Ph.D. Research Assistant, where they demonstrated strong organizational and analytical skills. David then worked as a Project Manager at Sussex Downs Management Board, where they provided strategic guidance and achieved lasting change in regional planning and development.

David transitioned to the private sector and joined Forth Forum Ltd as a Project Officer, preparing a strategic management plan for regional development. David later joined Thus as a Service Delivery Manager, where they excelled in maintaining customer relationships and meeting SLAs.

At NIU, David held multiple roles, including Senior Service Manager/Client Services Director and Customer Service Manager. David played a key role in securing and managing customer contracts, implementing support strategies for managed services, and introducing ITIL based practices for improved service and support.

David then joined CSI as a Strategic Partner Executive, where they focused on delivery excellence and client contract management. David successfully maintained trusted advisor status with clients and demonstrated a values-led approach.

In 2018, David joined New Signature UK as a Senior Service Delivery Manager, leading a SIAM service model for digital transformation in the public sector. David successfully engaged with clients and played a key role in their business transformation.

Currently, David is serving as a Service Delivery Director at Cognizant Microsoft Business Group after the acquisition of New Signature. David provides strategic leadership and management support to the delivery team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and effective services.

Throughout their career, David has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, relationship building, and problem-solving skills, driving positive outcomes for clients and organizations.

David Kay has a diverse education history. David obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Telecoms and International Business from The University of Edinburgh from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, they pursued an MSc. in Marine Resource Management at Heriot-Watt University from 1991 to 1992, focusing on the oil & gas industry. David began their higher education journey with a BSc. in Geography (Hons) at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth from 1987 to 1990, emphasizing international trade. Additionally, David holds various certifications in IT service management, including ITIL Intermediate certificates in IT Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement from AXELOS Global Best Practice and BCS respectively. David also obtained an ITIL 3 Foundation certificate in IT Service Management from BCS in 2011.
