Mari-Liis Algma has extensive work experience in the field of design, with a focus on product and user experience. Mari-Liis started their career as a Clinical Psychologist Intern at the Psychiatry Clinic, where they assisted the group therapist and provided support sessions to patients. After this, they worked as a Seasonal Sales Manager at OÜ Erald Nordic, where they were responsible for sales, improving product display, and creating sales reports.

In 2014, Mari-Liis Algma joined Porto Tech Center as a UX/Web Designer Intern, where they worked on the hotel booking service Jovago and collaborated with developers to improve the website and mobile web design. Mari-Liis then transitioned to the Mobile team, gaining experience with native mobile apps.

From 2016 to 2018, Mari-Liis Algma worked at Farfetch as a Digital Designer (Mobile) and later as a Product Designer in the Personalisation & Inspiration team. Mari-Liis'sresponsibilities included research, UX and visual design, and guerrilla testing for the iOS Quick Filters feature, which resulted in a 7% Conversion Rate uplift.

Since 2018, Mari-Liis Algma has been working at NewStore, Inc. as a Product Designer. Mari-Liis is the second member of the design team and has been working independently on various features across the platform. Mari-Liis'slatest project involves improving the in-store order fulfillment process by investigating pain points and providing iterative design solutions while staying in contact with customers.

Mari-Liis Algma completed their education as follows:

From 2012 to 2014, they attended Escola Superior de Artes e Design and obtained a Licentiate degree in Industrial and Product Design.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2012, they studied at Tallinn University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Mari-Liis'sacademic journey began at Tallinn 21st School, where they pursued Humanities/Humanistic Studies and graduated in 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Mari-Liis Algma acquired a Professional Certificate in Visual Design from the UX Design Institute in April 2021.
