Jennifer Sheldon has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jennifer is currently employed as the SVP and Chief Operating Officer at Newtown Savings Bank since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Laurel Road as the Vice President of Customer Service and Operations from December 2014 to November 2022.

Before joining Laurel Road, Jennifer held various roles at RBS Citizens Financial Group. From February 2012 to December 2014, they served as the Vice President of Business Support. Jennifer also worked as an Assistant Vice President from January 2005 to January 2012, where they were responsible for managing monetary transaction processing for Credit Card Accounts. Jennifer developed procedures, workflows, and efficiencies within the organization while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Jennifer also managed the offshore transfer of US processes to India, monitored team performance, and performed assurance functions related to monetary transactions and quality control.

Prior to their tenure at RBS Citizens, Jennifer worked at Citi as an Operations Manager from January 2001 to January 2005, and at Prudential Financial as an Operations Manager from January 2000 to January 2001. Jennifer started their career at People's United Bank - People's Securities Inc. as a Margin Specialist from January 1998 to January 2000. Jennifer also worked at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as a Senior Cashier from January 1997 to January 1998.

Jennifer Sheldon earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Fairfield University between 1991 and 1995. In 2013, they pursued further education and obtained another Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the New England College of Business, which they completed in 2014. In 2019, Jennifer Sheldon enrolled in the Welch College of Business & Technology Graduate Program at Sacred Heart University, where they obtained a Certificate in Business Analytics in 2020.
