Liwanag Ojala

Liwanag Ojala's work experience includes positions at various companies.

Liwanag is currently the SVP & Chief Transformation Officer at American Public Media Group, where they lead teams to drive the organization's digital transformation and accelerate audience and revenue growth.

Prior to that, they served as the Chief Executive Officer and later as the Chief Operating Officer at CaringBridge, overseeing the development and execution of strategic plans for the organization's mission to provide care and support on health journeys.

Liwanag also held the position of Vice President, eCommerce at Meijer, where they led a team in improving the performance of the general merchandise ecommerce business and developing digital capabilities for the organization.

In addition, they served as President of Pear Tree Greetings, a start-up online personal stationery business, and as General Manager, eCommerce at CobornsDelivers.com.

Earlier in their career, they were President of SimonDelivers.com and served as its General Counsel. Liwanag also worked as Legal Counsel for Nash Finch Company (now SpartanNash) and as an Associate at Briggs and Morgan, P.A.

Additionally, they served as a Trustee Emeritus on the Board of Trustees at Blandin Foundation.

Throughout their career, Liwanag Ojala has demonstrated leadership and expertise in digital transformation, strategic planning, financial management, and community engagement.

Liwanag Ojala earned a B.A. in History from Northwestern University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. They then pursued a JD degree in Law at the University of Minnesota Law School from 1995 to 1998.
