Currently, they are the CIO and Digital Technologies and Innovation General Manager at Nexa Resources, where they focus on developing transformative digital strategies and sustainable innovation. Prior to this, Marcelo served as the CIO and General Manager of Digital Technologies at Nexa Resources, leading a significant digital transformation and aligning technology with the company's strategic goals.

Before joining Nexa Resources, Marcelo worked as the IT Director at SGS, where they played a crucial role in shaping the IT landscape and driving advancements in technology integration and operational efficiency. Prior to that, they served as the IT Director for South America at Yamana Gold Inc., driving technological innovation and operational excellence across the region.

Marcelo also has experience as a Senior Project Manager at Dimension Data, where they managed offshore teams and oversaw Cisco Network implementations in various markets. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Application Consultant at Liberty Seguros Brasil, focusing on software development and system analysis.

Marcelo'scareer began at IBM Application Services as an Information Technology Specialist, where they implemented and updated application modules under the direction of senior software developers. Marcelo obtained a Mestrado em Administração de Empresas (Master's in Business Administration) from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Stanford University from 2012 to 2014, where they completed an Executive Program in Advanced Project Management. Marcelo also holds a BBA (Bachelor's in Business Administration) from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at the University of São Paulo, which they earned from 2005 to 2010. Marcelo started their education journey at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo - IFSP, where they obtained a Technical College degree in System Development from 2000 to 2002.
