Eric Bell

Dr. Bell is an economist with expertise in Demand Side Management (DSM) Measurement & Evaluation (M&E) load impact evaluations including demand response and energy conservation. He is experienced with econometric modeling of customer characteristics, billing, and advanced metering interval usage data for both residential and non-residential customers. He managed the first load impact evaluation of full-scale Smart Meter enabled energy conservation and demand response programs at SCE. In total, projects led by Dr. Bell have required applying data analytics to approximately 400,000 businesses and over 4 million residential customers. Dr. Bell completed his Ph.D. in Economics—with an emphasis on industrial organization—and MBA at the Claremont Graduate University.
