Michael McCarthy

Michael McCarthy is a Senior Manager in Nexant’s Utility Services business unit located in the White Plains, NY office. Michael has more than ten years of experience working with clients to deliver complex energy and IT programs. Michael’s responsibilities include program delivery oversight, business development, and staff management for Nexant’s Energy Efficiency Delivery group in the Northeast US. Michael focuses on the design and management of commercial energy efficiency programs, including commercial building optimization and small business programs. His experience includes client management, project staff coordination, budget management and forecasting, new program design and launch, service provider management, and direct program outreach. His experience before Nexant also includes consulting engagements for numerous commercial and federal government clients in the areas of program design and management, financial modeling, market research, performance benchmarking, and Lean/Six Sigma program analysis. Michael has an MBA in Energy and Environment from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a BA in Environmental Economics from Colgate University. He is a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
