Julie Wilkinson

Julie Wilkinson is a seasoned professional in the field of medical communications, currently serving as the Scientific Services Director at NexGen Healthcare Communications since December 2022. Previously, Julie held the position of Scientific Strategy Director at Ashfield, providing maternity cover from April 2021 to April 2022. From 2006 to 2021, Julie worked as a Freelance Medical Writer for Medical Communication Services. Prior to this, Julie was the Editorial Unit Manager at Gardiner Caldwell London, where leadership roles included strategic development of client communication programs and training multiple medical writing teams. Julie’s early career included positions as Senior Medical Writer at Franklin Scientific Projects and Hayhurst Connington Cripps Ltd. Julie Wilkinson earned a PhD in Neurophysiology from UCL and a BSc in Biochemistry & Physiology from the University of Reading.
