Shelby C.

Shelby C. is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community engagement, spiritual care, and event hosting. Currently serving as a Volunteer Intern - Recruitment Specialist at Nexgenwork since January 2021, Shelby has also been a Duolingo Ambassador since June 2019, successfully transitioning from in-person to online events and significantly increasing community attendance. Previous roles include a web developer at Devmountain, and a fellow in the RISE Urban Leadership Program. Shelby's long tenure at The Elizabeth Hospice involved developing outreach programs to enhance community awareness of hospice services, as well as providing spiritual care as a Chaplain and managing care teams. Shelby holds a Bachelor's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies and an M.Div. in Pastoral Care from Yale University, along with a certificate in Photography from UC San Diego Extended Studies.
