Beth Slaninka, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Beth began their career as a reporter at Capital News Service, covering Maryland state politics. Beth then worked as a reporter for Gannett Newspapers, where they covered Ocean City government and business. Beth later joined Carroll County Times, reporting on the Carroll County government and Maryland state legislature. Beth then transitioned to SNL Financial, where they focused on reporting on the natural gas industry and regulatory issues. After that, they worked as a Legislative Fellow for the American Political Science Association, supporting energy, tax policy, and financial regulatory reform issues. Beth then joined Platts-US Coal as an Associate Editor, News, where they covered Congress and federal policy related to the coal industry. Currently, Beth is with Nexight Group, serving as a Communications Specialist and Project Manager. In this role, they manage teams, conducts research, and provides strategic support. Beth also manages the editorial and revision process for complex documents and consults on stakeholder management and target audience engagement. Overall, Beth brings a wealth of experience in journalism, regulatory issues, government affairs, and project management.

Beth Slaninka, PMP, holds an M.S. degree in Energy Policy and Climate from The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Prior to this, they obtained a B.A. degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their academic achievements, Beth has also obtained certifications such as the Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute in September 2016 and a Certificate of Leader Development from the U.S. Army War College Commandant's National Security Program in July 2019.
