Richard McLaughlin

Richard McLaughlin is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in process and facilities engineering within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Nexos since December 2021, Richard previously held key roles including Head of Process and Technical Safety and Subsea Package Engineer at Siccar Point Energy. Richard's expertise includes delivering significant projects such as the $1.5 billion deep-water Cambo Phase 1 Development, where responsibilities encompassed integrating design concepts and conducting environmental impact assessments. With a foundational role at Wood, Richard progressed from Graduate Process Engineer to Principal Process Engineer, and has also served as Process Technical Authority at Dana Petroleum. Richard's academic background includes a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
