Mark Bakker

Mark Bakker is a skilled attorney with extensive experience in employment and labor law. Currently serving as a shareholder at Maynard Nexsen PC since April 2023 and a member at Nexsen Pruet, LLC since August 2016, Mark specializes in a wide array of litigation and advisory services, including discrimination lawsuits, regulatory compliance, and employee benefit claims. Mark previously led the Employment Law Practice Group at Wyche, P.A. from 1996 to July 2016 and held clerkship positions in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mark earned a JD with high honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a summa cum laude BA in History from Furman University.
