Renee Briers

Renee Briers has a strong background in laboratory work and molecular diagnostics. Renee started their career at Ampath Trust in January 2016 as a Medical Technologist, where they worked until August 2017. In October 2017, they joined Next Biosciences as a Laboratory Technologist and later progressed to the role of Laboratory Manager in March 2020. Renee assumed the position of Head of Molecular Diagnostics at Next Biosciences in October 2021. Renee's diverse experience and progression within Next Biosciences demonstrate their expertise in laboratory management and molecular diagnostics.

Renee Briers completed a National Diploma in Biomedical Technology/Technician from Tshwane University of Technology from 2013 to 2015. Later, from 2017 to 2018, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist, again from Tshwane University of Technology.
