Laura Grothaus has a diverse work experience ranging from roles in creative video production to teaching and arts administration. Laura worked at Next Day A as a Solutions Strategist, where they created explainer videos and developed various content for online campaigns. Laura also worked as a Freelance Writer, Illustrator, and Maker, taking on various creative projects. Laura had teaching roles at Youth Skills Partnership, where they designed and taught interdisciplinary writing lessons, and at Access Art, where they taught art to students. Laura also gained experience as a Summer Intern at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, where they supported workshops and contributed to the design and creation of a project website. Prior to this, they served as a Workshop Leader at Women Writing for (a) Change. Laura has also worked in technical assistance at the Oberlin College Costume Shop, as a Teaching Assistant at Oberlin College, and as a High School Girls Camp Counselor at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Additionally, they served as an Author's Intern for Jael McHenry, assisting with book promotion and conducting research on online publicity trends.
Laura Grothaus obtained a High School Diploma from Mother of Mercy High School, where they attended from 2005 to 2009. Following their high school education, they enrolled in Oberlin College from 2009 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Creative Writing and Visual Arts.
