Petri Ikonen

Petri Ikonen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Petri is currently working at Next Games as a Game Lead since November 2022. Prior to that, they held positions at Electronic Arts as a Senior Creative Director from March 2015 until November 2022, and as a Creative Director from October 2012 to March 2015. Before joining Electronic Arts, Petri worked at Digital Chocolate as an Executive Producer from April 2010 to September 2012, a Design Director from August 2006 to September 2011, and as a Game Designer from June 2003 to July 2006. Petri also gained experience as a Script Writer at Fremantle Media from March 2000 to May 2004. Prior to that, Petri worked at the Theatre Academy of Finland as a Course Manager, Producer, and Teacher from August 1997 to March 1999, and at Ahaa Teatteri as an Actor from August 1993 to July 1995. Petri'searliest work experience was at Yleisradio, where they served as a TV show host and editor from August 1990 to May 1991.

Petri Ikonen completed their MA in New Media from Taideteollinen korkeakoulu - Konstindustriella högskolan, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. In 2006 to 2007, they pursued further education in Games for Producers and Leads of the Finnish Game Industry at ARTO, Helsinki, earning an EAT degree. Additionally, from 1988 to 2000, they attended the University of Tampere, where they earned another MA degree, this time in Drama.
