Machine Learning Scientist at Next Gate Tech

Michaël Karpe is a quantitative developer at Next Gate Tech. Michaël previously worked as a data scientist at BNP Paribas Asset Management from June 2018 to May 2019, where they improved a chatbot intent classification model and developed its API. Michaël also analyzed 100+ GB of redemptions and built from scratch a pipeline to predict rare redemptions on client savings. In February 2018, they started working on their Ponts ParisTech Capstone Project in collaboration with Société Générale.

Michael Karpe's educational career began at Aux Lazaristes, where they studied mathematics and physics. Michaël then attended École des Ponts ParisTech, where they earned a degree in applied mathematics and computer science. After working for several years, they decided to return to school and earn a master's degree in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California, Berkeley. Michaël also holds certifications from the Optness Institute in management excellence and lean six sigma, as well as a certificate in international management from École des Ponts Business School.
