Yaniv Shimony has a diverse work experience spanning from 1998 to the present. Yaniv is currently working at Next Insurance as the Director of Product Management, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Product Manager at Next Insurance from October 2019 to January 2021.

Before joining Next Insurance, Yaniv worked at eBay for several years. Yaniv held multiple roles at eBay, including Browse Experience Product Manager from January 2016 to October 2019. In this role, they focused on improving the SEO and browse experience across all platforms. Yaniv also served as the Cross Site Personalization Lead Product Manager from January 2015 to January 2016, where they implemented personalized experiences to increase user engagement. Additionally, they held the position of Cross Site Site Speed Lead Product Manager from January 2013 to January 2015, overseeing site performance and training teams on optimizing speed. Furthermore, they worked as the Socialized eBay (eBay 3.0) Project Manager from June 2013 to April 2014, leading a team of engineers to successfully deliver a new version of eBay globally. Prior to that, they were the Verticals Product Manager from March 2011 to January 2013, managing various product categories and improving buyer search experiences.

Yaniv also has experience as a Co-Founder of Fribiz.com, where they formulated the value proposition and pursued potential investors to raise capital for the web platform. Additionally, they worked at Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. as an Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILS) from January 2008 to June 2009, and as a Plan and Control Projects Engineer from July 2007 to July 2008. Before entering the corporate world, Yaniv served as a Platoon Commander in a Special Forces Unit, Captain in the Israel Defense Forces from November 1998 to November 2002.

Yaniv Shimony obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering-Information Systems from The Open University between 2003 and 2007. Following that, they pursued higher education and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, from 2009 to 2011.
