Entrepreneur In Residence at Next Play Capital

Oren Gabriel is currently building an athlete transition accelerator and recruitment platform focused on helping collegiate and professional athletes transition from sports to a meaningful next career.

Prior to joining Next Play Capital as an Entrepreneur In Residence, Oren served as Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Lincoln Avenue Capital, one of the nation’s fastest-growing developers, investors, and operators of affordable housing. Prior to joining Lincoln Avenue Capital, Oren served as Chief of Staff to the CFO of the University of California. Oren also worked in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices of Bain & Company, where he advised clients in the biotechnology, public utility, and technology sectors on issues of business strategy and operations.

Oren earned his MBA and a Certificate in Public Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was selected as an Arbuckle Leadership Fellow. He received his B.S. in Business Administration with High Honors from the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business. At Berkeley, Oren served as President of the Associated Students of the University of California and was a Regents Scholar. He was also a practice player on the Cal Women’s Basketball team.
