Sumaila P.

Sumaila P. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy, design, and project management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Strategy & Design at Next Street since October 2022, Sumaila previously held the position of Department Chair of Architecture at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture from June 2017 to December 2021, becoming the first female chair in that role and enhancing department vision and faculty engagement. Prior experiences include roles as Project Coordinator for Transition Strategy at Stanford Health Care, Senior Manager of Capital Projects at NYC Economic Development Corporation, and Director of Neighborhood Development at NYC Small Business Services. Sumaila began a career in architecture as a Designer at Hawley Peterson Snyder and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Indus Valley University and a Master’s in Urban Planning from NYU Wagner.
