Mauricio Hernández Medina

Mauricio Hernández Medina has a diverse work experience in the field of design and user experience. Mauricio is currently working as a Lead Product Designer at Nextail since November 2021. Prior to this, they were associated with The Cocktail from 2014 to 2021, first as a Senior UX Consultant and later as the Head of UX. Mauricio also worked as a Professor at IED Madrid from February 2017 to November 2021.

Mauricio has extensive experience as a UX Consultant, having worked at GOWEX Mobile - ideup from 2010 to 2014. Mauricio'sresponsibilities included conceptualization and strategic definition of digital products for wireless networks. Mauricio was involved in designing interaction prototypes for mobile applications and responsive web design for e-commerce platforms.

Before that, they worked as a Freelance UI designer at LAM - Universidad Politècnica de Catalunya, where they designed user interfaces for various projects. Mauricio has also worked as a Visual and Interaction Designer at OgilvyOne Barcelona, where they designed interactive pieces for promotional microsites and developed display campaigns for advertising platforms.

Mauricio's career began as a co-founder and Associate Director at Genotipo Laboratorio Creativo, where they established the department of interaction and multimedia design. Mauricio contributed to the planning and management of web and multimedia projects.

Mauricio also has experience in teaching, having served as a Professor of Multimedia Interaction Design at Universidad La Salle Cancún.

Mauricio started their career as a Creative at Loft 212 and later worked as a Brand Designer at Pixel Press.

Mauricio Hernández Medina's education history begins in 2000 when they enrolled at Universidad La Salle de Cancún, A.C. Mauricio completed their Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design at this institution in 2004. Following this, in 2008, they pursued a Master's degree in Multimedia Application Design at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they completed in 2009. Later on, from 2010 to 2012, they attended Escola professional d´aplicacions informàtiques, where they focused on Action Script 3.0.
