Paola Capello

Paola Capello has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries.

Paola began their career at PEQUIVEN, S.A. in 1999, where they held roles as a Senior Analyst of Training, Development, and Compensation and later as a Supervisor of Compensation and Development. Paola was responsible for overseeing professional and technical development, compensation and benefits, recruitment processes, and workforce planning.

From 2003 to 2004, Paola served as a Counselor of Compensation and Development at FERTINITRO. Their responsibilities included conducting compensation studies, optimizing the use of SAP, and participating in corporate values and job description projects.

Paola then joined Microsoft, where they held multiple roles from 2003 to 2012. Paola served as an HR Manager for Microsoft Venezuela, ensuring excellence in administrative activities and acting as a key business partner for the leadership team. Paola was later appointed as a Talent Acquisition Lead and HR Program Manager for Microsoft Latinamerica, where they focused on performance management, staffing/recruitment strategy, and business process improvement.

At Baker Hughes, Paola worked as a Talent Manager for Latin America and the Gulf of Mexico in 2013. Their responsibilities included identifying key talent, facilitating development and succession planning, and creating career paths for employees.

In 2014, Paola joined Houston Methodist as a Senior OD Consultant. Their role involved designing and implementing organizational development solutions, conducting assessments, and supporting the continuous development of the workforce.

Their most recent position was at Dynegy, where they worked from 2014 to 2018. Initially, they were a Manager of Talent Management, responsible for executing talent management activities and supporting the talent review process. Paola was later promoted to Talent Management Director, leading initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.

Currently, Paola is the Senior Director of Human Resources at NextDecade, where they oversee HR operations and strategy, contributing to the development and success of liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects.

Paola Capello has a degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University. Their field of study was Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General. Paola also obtained a degree in Urbanismo from Universidad Simón Bolívar, with a field of study in Urbanism. In addition to their formal education, Paola has obtained several certifications including "Building Resilience as a Leader" from LinkedIn in April 2020, "Korn Ferry Leadership Architect" from Korn Ferry in May 2017, and "Birkman Consultant" in January 2014.
