Anna Akullian

Anna Akullian has a diverse work experience starting in 2013. Anna began their career as a Researcher at Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute and later worked as a Researcher at the UC Berkeley CHILD Research Coordinator. In 2014, they joined Hackbright Academy as an Associate Instructor and Software Engineering Fellow. In 2015, they became a Web Development Intern at Schoolzilla and then moved on to Hackbright Academy again, this time as the Program Manager of Part-Time Education. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Coordinator at Camp Tawonga, and from 2019 to 2020, they served as an Assistant Director at Camp Tawonga. Most recently, they joined Nextdoor as a Community Manager in 2020.

Anna Akullian has a diverse education history. Anna attended the University of Oregon Graduate School from 2022 to 2024, where they pursued an MS in Couples and Family Therapy. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, Anna attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education, earning a Master's degree in Education. In 2014, they attended Hackbright Academy, specializing in Computer Software Engineering for a brief period. Anna completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, between 2009 and 2013. Additionally, in 2012, they participated in a Spanish Intensive program at the Universidad de Belgrano. Before their undergraduate studies, Anna briefly attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 2008 and 2009, focusing on Environmental Science and Peace and Conflict. In terms of certifications, Anna is a Certified Yoga Instructor through the Yoga Alliance, although specific details regarding when and where they obtained this certification are not available.
