David Roady

David Roady has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 25 years. David is currently serving as the Head of Communications at Nextdoor since July 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at FTI Consulting from May 2008 to July 2021, including Senior Managing Director, Co-Head Financial Communications, and Head of M&A Practice for the Americas. In these roles, David provided strategic advice on critical communications and business strategies during moments of change such as mergers and acquisitions, financial crisis, and regulatory issues.

Before joining FTI Consulting, David worked as a Senior Vice President - M&A at Marsh/MMC in 2007, Director of M&A at American Express from 2005 to 2007, and Investor Relations Officer, Treasurer, and VP of Corporate Development at Covansys from 2002 to 2004. David also served as the Vice President of Business Development and Investor Relations at CityReach International from 2000 to 2002.

David began their career in the financial industry, working as an Associate Director in TMT Investment Banking at UBS from 1998 to 2000 and as an Investment Banking Associate at Dillon Read from 1997 to 2000. David initially started their professional journey at Citi, where they worked as a Management Associate from 1995 to 1997.

Throughout their career, David Roady has gained expertise in various areas such as mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, initial public offerings, capital markets events, and regulatory and corporate governance issues. David has a strong track record of advising boards and C-Suites on critical business decisions and developing effective communication strategies.

David Roady obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Colgate University from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Harvard Business School from 1997 to 1999.
