Glen Tona

Glen Tona has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Glen is currently employed at Nextdoor as a Senior Engineering Manager since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Pixel Labs, Inc. from October 2016 to September 2019, where they held the position of Head of Engineering, Platform. At Pixel Labs, their role involved leading efforts in Hoodline Platform Engineering, focusing on distributing geotagged and relevant content using machine learning technology.

Before joining Pixel Labs, Glen worked at IBM as an Engineering Lead for the IBM Cloud and Cloud Garage from May 2013 to October 2016. IBM Cloud provided an open and scalable platform for accelerating digital transformation.

Glen's career began in 2009 at Infosoft Software Developer (ISD), a software company in Albania. Glen worked there as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of government-issued software for K-12 students and creating financial-oriented software for business applications.

Between their stints at IBM and Infosoft, Glen was a Software Engineer at Cloud Foundry Foundation from March 2012 to May 2013. Glen also spent a year as a Research Development Software Engineer at Virginia Tech from May 2011 to May 2012.

Glen Tona completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. Glen attended Virginia Tech from 2008 to 2013, earning their degree after five years of study.
