Laura Claster Bisesto

Laura Claster Bisesto has extensive work experience in policy, legal privacy, and regulatory compliance. Laura currently holds the position of Global Head of Policy, Privacy & Regulatory Compliance, Deputy General Counsel at Nextdoor, where they have established various policy roles and teams. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Policy at Checkr, Inc., where they built and led a public policy program. Laura also worked as the Head of US State Public Policy at Verizon Media and as a Senior Public Policy Manager at Lyft, where they advocated for the company on various legislative and regulatory issues. Earlier in their career, Laura worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the City and County of San Francisco, handling a wide range of criminal cases, and as an Annual Research Attorney at the California Supreme Court. Laura also gained experience as a Graduate Law Clerk at the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, a Judicial Extern for Chief Justice Ronald M. George at the California Supreme Court, and an Intern for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Laura Claster Bisesto completed their education in a chronological manner. Laura attended Corona Del Mar High School and then proceeded to earn a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UCLA between 2002 and 2006. In 2004, Laura Claster Bisesto also had a stint as a Visiting Student at the University of Oxford. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2009, Laura Claster Bisesto attended the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
